Please read our warranty terms and conditions carefully before making a purchase.
Warranty Terms
At Legacy Auto Hub, we stand behind the quality of our used engines and transmissions. However, it's important to understand the scope and limitations of our warranty.
What's Covered
Our limited warranty applies strictly to the engine assembly, which includes the following internal components:
- Engine block
- Cylinder heads
- Pistons
- Crankshaft
- Camshaft
- Rockers
- Other internal moving parts
What's Not Covered
The following auxiliary components, while often included for your convenience and to protect the assembly during shipment, are not covered under warranty:
- Sensors, switches, cables, and electronics
- Belts, hoses, water pumps, manifolds
- Wire harnesses, gaskets, brackets
- Valve covers, oil pan, flywheel, and other bolt-on accessories
These items are not part of the core engine assembly and are not guaranteed to be functional or compatible with your vehicle.
Appearance Disclaimer
While we strive to provide high-quality, performance-tested used engines and transmissions (which may be up to 35 years old), cosmetic appearance is not guaranteed and is not covered under warranty. If the engine performs as expected, no claim can be made solely based on appearance.
We encourage all customers to review the inspection report included with your order and contact our support team at +1 (888) 668-9566 if you notice any discrepancies.
Shipment Handling
Please do not refuse delivery under any circumstances. Refused shipments can lead to complications or lost items. If a warranty claim is needed, Legacy Auto Hub will arrange return shipping at our expense.
Order Processing & Cancellation Fees
Processing each order incurs several costs, including:
- Labor
- Freight
- Packaging materials (pallets, bubble wrap, straps, etc.)
If you cancel an order after 24 hours of payment, or after the item has shipped, a 30% restocking fee will apply. Additionally, two-way shipping costs will be deducted if the item has been dispatched.
Warranty Returns & Replacements
If an issue arises with your used engine or transmission:
- We will first attempt a replacement, subject to warranty approval.
- If a customer refuses the replacement and requests a refund instead, it will be treated as an order cancellation, subject to the 30% restocking fee and return shipping charges.
- If a return is approved under warranty, Legacy Auto Hub will fully reimburse the return shipping cost, provided the item is returned using our instructions.
Compatibility & VIN Matching
We use VIN-based compatibility tools to match engines and transmissions to your vehicle. However, some models may require minor modifications or swaps for proper fitment.
In cases where the customer:
Customer Responsibility
- Provides incorrect or incomplete information, or
- Orders the wrong engine/transmission
The customer will be responsible for:
- Two-way shipping costs
- Any price difference between the original and replacement order
Refusal of a compatible replacement will be treated as an order cancellation and is subject to the restocking policy.
Warranty Period & Claim Window
You have 60 days from the delivery date to notify us of any performance issues with your used engine or transmission.
- If an issue is confirmed, we will promptly initiate a replacement.
- If a replacement cannot be provided or does not meet expectations, we will issue a full refund to the original payment method.
- Claims cannot be accepted after 60 days from the delivery date of the replacement.
Important Notes
- Keeping a defective or problematic item for more than 60 days voids the warranty and disqualifies the item from a claim.
- The warranty is transferable, meaning if you sell the vehicle, the warranty can be passed on to the new owner.
